MISALIGNED TEETH TREATMENT

What Is the Cause?

There are many reasons people look for braces or clear aligners. Some are born with a small jaw or teeth that are too large for the space, while others develop problems from thumb-sucking, early tooth loss or injury. Here are the most common alignment problems we treat:

Happy family

Overbite

The upper front teeth overlap the lower teeth too much. This can wear down teeth and strain the jaw.

Underbite

The lower teeth sit in front of the upper teeth, which can make chewing and speaking harder.

Crossbite

Some upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth, which can cause uneven wear and gum problems.

Open Bite

The upper and lower front teeth do not touch when the mouth is closed, often affecting speech.

Crowded Teeth

There is not enough room for all the teeth, so they overlap or twist and are harder to clean.

Gapped Teeth

Spaces between teeth can trap food and affect how the bite fits together.
